Shalban Vihara

Shalban Vihara, Buddhist pilgrimage site is located in Mainamati Cumilla, Bangladesh. It is recorded that the ruins of 7th century Paharpur-style Buddhist Vihara are scattered in the middle of the Lalmai hills ridge. The monastery used to house number of Buddhist monks in the 100 cells which were operated through the 12th century.

Mount Emei is one of the four sacred mountain located at the western rim of the Sichuan Basin, China. Mt Emei is the highest peak among the other four sacred mountains measuring 3,099 meters. Administratively, Mt. Emei is located near the country-level city of the same name, Emeishan City. This mountain was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996.

The word Kailasa came from the Sanskrit language. It is believed that it could have been derived from the word Kelasa, meaning crystal from the same script. The Tibetan name for the mountain is Gangs Rin Po Che. Here, the word Gangs means snow peak similar to alp or hima and the word Rin Po Che means precious one, hence, the word Gangs Rin Po Che means precious jewel of snows.
